I was born in the Nation’s oldest city, St. Augustine, Florida, and moved to Washington, DC, after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in medieval literature (yes, you’ll probably be getting a mead recipe from me soon!). I’m a webmaster by trade and have made web pages for the U.S. Botanic Garden, the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, the Architect of the Capitol, The U.S. International Trade Commission, the Culinary Historians of Washington, DC, and NASA. My true love, though, is food.
I’m a sucker for unique and seasonal ingredients, and I love growing and foraging for my own food. Plating in interesting ways keeps it fun! I live on Capitol Hill with my 5-year-old son, Henry, who is my creative director, and a toothless cat who manages to eat more than I do 🙂
